UJAM CLUB NIGHTS
"January Blues"
...featuring
you!
Join us for our monthly UJAM Club Night! This month's theme is January Blues, so it's time to explore that deep, emotional part of yourself with your music.
Choose a couple of jazz tunes inspired by the season and arrange a duet or pick a tune that captures the essence of the blues. We’re excited for touching moments and the unexpected delights our talented vocalists and instrumentalists always bring.
Whether you’re performing, listening, or simply soaking in the vibe, let’s make this night a reminder of how music brings us closer.

Our Themes for 2025-26!
We set a theme for each of our Club Nights to inspire performers to get creative. Following the theme is encouraged but is not mandatory.
Sept - Colours
Oct - Crossroads
Nov - Anything goes
Dec - Gather with friends
Jan - Blues
Feb - Heart and Soul
March - Latin
April - New takes on an old tune
May - The lighter side of life
Each month Universal Jazz Advocates And Mentors presents a themed open mic night of singers and musicians sitting in with our wonderful house band.

Please provide titles for up to two songs you have prepared and a short message about your performance. We will get back to you about getting your charts and any links to example recordings for your songs.
Charts and links to songs are needed by 5 days before the day of the show to give the band a chance to prepare. Let us know if you need help preparing.
As always, send your charts to ujamsevents@gmail.com so that the house band can start practicing. Music should be in our hands 5 days before the show. PDF versions are best and charts should not be more than 2 pages long. Help is available to find charts, pick your best key, and assist with getting you ready.

Thanks to all who made our Club Nights so successful - our volunteer organizing committee of Margot Johnston, Barry Casson, Liam Arthurs, Dave Paulson, Helena Jeeves, and Joy Andrews plus our great musicians including Liam Arthurs, Michael Frey, and Ken Seidman, Barry Gough and Reiner Piehl, not to mention our performers, volunteers, and audience. You all played a vital part in the success of these events!
