How to Prepare
If you want to get the most out of your camp experience it is a good idea to prepare. You can do this by checking out the repertoire and recordings posted. Try to learn the tunes, chord changes and forms to each tunes, (for bonus points see if there are intros or outros you can have in your back pocket!). Other ways to prepare: Learn all 12 major scales and arpeggios, minor scales and arpeggios. Familiarize yourself with common jazz chords and types (Major Seventh, Minor Seventh, Dominant Seventh), Practice playing all of these fundamentals and the tunes with the metronome, then do it with the metronome on beats 2 & 4.

Parking
Parking rates at UVic are:
$2.00 per hour
$9.00 per full day until 11:59pm
$4.00 per evening from 5:00pm -11:59pm
$36.00 for a weekly permit (valid for 7 days from date and time of purchase)
Short term meters are available in certain locations for up to 90 minutes of parking in a short term stall.
Ticket machines only take cash and credit cards, but there is also a mobile app called HonkMobile that you can use to pay. If you use the app, please ensure you are parking in the correct zone.
Oftentimes, when punching in your license plate at a ticket machine, the first digit does not register and you have to punch it in twice, so I would advise double checking that your plate was entered correctly.
All general parking passes are good for the general parking zones, which are outside Ring Road and the southern half of Lot E, which is inside Ring Road. Here are links to a parking map and rates for UVic.

Anyone who needs to drop off heavy equipment can come to the security/parking office next to the bus loop where they can issue a Restricted Area Permit for up to 20 minutes of unloading in a restricted area i.e., right outside the entrance to the building they need to go to. The permit is free and can be good for the whole week if need be, as long as you have it displayed on your dash.
